Our Story
It all started with a Sushi Sunday…
Who knew it would take a dating app and a mutual love for sushi to connect two Ohioans in Georgia? We met online through Hinge and their motto “the dating app designed to be deleted” was 100% true. A sushi dinner and a trip to Target was just the beginning of our forever story.
A new love underway
Soon after making our relationship official on December 11th, 2021, Michael departed on his very last underway onboard the USS Rhode Island. The months apart were hard, but the day we were reunited was well worth the wait.
Adventure is out there
Lots of memories were made in the months following the underway. Our first trip to Disney World, meeting family and friends, escape rooms galore, our first concert together, and of course, lots of sushi Sundays!

Long Distance Begins
On October 29th, Michael moved to Charleston to continue his last shore duty. And thus, our long-distance story beings. While the 218 miles apart were difficult, we made the most of it by having many online dates, traveling back and forth, playing Pokémon Go, and visiting new destinations.

The Proposal
On May 11th 2023, Michael asked the big question during a "vacation photoshoot" on Hilton Head Island. With 'yes' being the easiest answer in the world, our next exciting chapter begins!
